Itinerary

Stop 1

Riverboat Ride

Breakfast and fun on the bus as we travel over the Sanibel triple span bridge with the Gulf of Mexico on our left and the inter-coastal waterway on our right. Our tour encompasses both Sanibel and Captiva Islands before we reach our first destination where we will board our climate controlled USCG approved riverboat for a scenic ninety-minute boat ride past Cayo Casta, Cabbage Key to gorgeous Useppa Island.  Watch for manatees at the dock before we depart!

Stop 2

Useppa Island

Useppa Island is an exclusive private island club with picturesque white cottages, pink pathways and lush tropical vegetation. One of the very few ways to visit Useppa is to be a member, a guest of a member or ride with us! In the 1920's Useppa was the sport fishing mecca for the rich and famous. Publishing magnate Barron Collier built a large home on the island now known as the Barron Collier Inn to accommodate his wealthy and influential friends for their tarpon fishing trips to the area. Names such as Rockefeller, Dupont, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford were all visitors to the island. Today the Collier Inn serves as the main clubhouse and dining.

One of our recent passengers said, "We're only 30 miles from home but I feel like I'm in another country!"

Stop 3

Barron Collier Inn

Dine on chef made fare in the beautiful Courtyard Dining Room.  You are own your own for lunch.  A Useppa representative will meet us at dock and lead us to the private club.

Insider Tip- The fried green tomato BLT- gotta try it!

Stop 4

Barbara Sumwait History Museum

After lunch spend time wandering the island and historic Inn. You will also want to visit the Barbara Sumwait History Museum on the island. This superbly done museum goes back in history from the Calusa Indians up to the present day on Useppa. They do ask for a $5.00 donation and it's worth every penny. Golf cart shuttles are available throughout island upon request. Your Boat Captain will let you know exact Useppa departure time before we deboard.
